Private Tuition Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all private tuition sessions provided by Art Class London. By booking a private lesson, students agree to the following terms.
1. Booking & Payment
- All private tuition sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.
- Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.
- Private tuition fees are currently charged at £120 per 2-hour session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Payments are non-transferable between students without prior agreement from the studio.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the lesson may be rescheduled free of charge.
- Cancellations made within 24–48 hours of the scheduled lesson will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson, or failure to attend, are charged in full.
- Late arrivals do not extend the lesson beyond the scheduled finishing time.
- Where possible, students should notify the studio as soon as possible regarding cancellations or delays.
3. Tutor Cancellation
- If the tutor is unable to deliver the lesson due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled or refunded in full.
- The studio reserves the right to provide an alternative tutor where appropriate.
4. Rescheduling
- Rescheduling requests are subject to tutor and studio availability.
- Repeated rescheduling may result in loss of preferred booking times.
5. Packages & Expiry
- Block bookings and lesson packages must be used within 3 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed.
- Unused sessions after the expiry period may be forfeited.
- Lesson packages are non-refundable once commenced.
- A lesson date must be arranged with the tutor within 10 weeks of purchase. If no date is arranged within this period, the booking expires and becomes non-refundable.
6. Studio Conduct
- Students are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors, staff, models, and other students.
- The studio reserves the right to terminate lessons or refuse further bookings in cases of inappropriate behaviour.
7. Materials & Studio Use
- Basic studio equipment may be provided where agreed.
- Students may be required to bring personal materials depending on the nature of the tuition.
- Students are responsible for personal belongings brought into the studio.
8. Health & Safety
- Students must follow all studio health and safety guidance.
- Any allergies, medical conditions, or accessibility requirements relevant to participation should be communicated before the lesson.
9. Photography & Student Work
- The studio may occasionally photograph student work or studio activity for promotional purposes.
- Students who do not wish their work or image to be used should notify the studio in writing.
10. Liability
- Art Class London accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
- Participation in practical art activities is undertaken at the student’s own risk.
11. Agreement
By booking and attending private tuition sessions, students confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
