Colour Mixing for Contemporary Painters – Taster Session
£43.00
Class Description
Discover a more confident approach to mixing and using colour in this practical taster session for The Art of Colour Mixing.
You’ll join an ongoing class and experience the teaching approach used throughout the full 10-week course. Through artist-led demonstrations, practical colour-mixing exercises, and painting studies, you’ll explore how colour behaves in practice and begin to develop a more intentional approach to mixing.
Depending on the work taking place in the class, you may explore areas such as colour relationships, warm and cool colour, hue, value and temperature, limited palettes, colour harmony or techniques for creating clearer mixes and avoiding muddy colours.
The emphasis is on experimentation and learning rather than producing a perfect finished painting. You’ll receive guidance and feedback while gaining a genuine introduction to the course and its approach to understanding and using colour.
All necessary materials are provided.
If you decide to continue, you’re welcome to enrol on the full 10-week The Art of Colour Mixing course, subject to availability.
