Class Overview

Join a one-off Illustration for Beginners taster class and experience the creative, structured approach used in the full 10-week course.

Suitable for beginners, the session introduces you to illustration through practical drawing exercises and may explore areas such as character design, visual storytelling, composition, imagined environments and creative illustration techniques, depending on the class you join.

You’ll work alongside students on the ongoing course, receive guidance from the tutor and experience the teaching approach before deciding whether to continue with the full programme.

Classes take place in our North London studio, close to Crouch End, Finsbury Park, Archway and Highgate.

Price: £43 per 3-hour session
Book your taster session, then contact the tutor to confirm preferred date (subject to availability).

Class Description
Discover the creative possibilities of illustration in this practical Illustration for Beginners taster class.
You’ll join an ongoing class from the 10-week programme and take part in the work being explored during that session. Depending on when you attend, this could include character development, visual storytelling, composition, atmosphere, imagined environments or different approaches to illustration.
The session allows you to experiment with illustration techniques, develop ideas through drawing and experience how the course combines practical exercises with tutor guidance and creative exploration.
No previous illustration experience is required. The taster is suitable for anyone interested in illustration, character creation, storytelling and imaginative drawing who would like to experience the class before committing to the full course.
