Raquel Amat Parra is a visual artist, educator, and printmaker with over a decade of experience working across fine art, education, and arts organisations. With a background in Fine Arts (Polytechnic University of Valencia) and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphics (Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design, Poland), she has developed an interdisciplinary practice that combines traditional printmaking with contemporary approaches.
Raquel has taught and demonstrated in a wide range of settings, most recently as a Lecturer in Fine Art Printmaking at Ulster University (Belfast School of Art), as well as at Belfast Print Workshop, Seacourt Print Workshop, and through international residencies. Her teaching spans printmaking, bookbinding, and digital processes—guiding students from beginner to advanced levels in techniques such as etching, screenprint, lithography, relief, linocut, viscosity, and experimental methods like mokulito and cyanotype.
She has exhibited internationally, with projects and residencies in China, Germany, Poland, Spain, and the UK, and her work has been acquired by collections such as the China Printmaking Museum. Raquel has also collaborated on large-scale printmaking conferences, curated exhibitions, and led community workshops, sharing her passion for making print accessible to all.
As a tutor, she is committed to fostering creativity, technical skill, and confidence in her students. Her classes balance structured learning with experimentation, encouraging participants to explore their own artistic voice while mastering professional techniques.
When not teaching or making her own work, Raquel is involved in art collection management, archiving, and exhibition planning, giving her a broad perspective on how artworks live beyond the studio.
